This Bulletin revises and replaces our Bulletin SLS2024001, dated January 8, 2024.
We previously advised that loanDepot, Inc. experienced a cyber incident.
It is our understanding that loanDepot has resumed some operations.
loanDepot reports that their customer servicing portal and mobile app are now fully operational (https://servicing.loandepot.com/).
loanDepot advises that they can issue payoff statements and accept wire transfers for loan payoffs. This can be done by emailing a request to payoff@loandepot.com.
Effective immediately:
You may close transactions involving loanDepot, including transmitting funds to loanDepot by wire, provided that you receive: (A) current, written instructions (including by email) from loanDepot dated on or after January 23, 2024, or (B) current, written confirmation (including by email) from loanDepot dated on or after January 23, 2024, of previously issued instructions.
As a reminder, as with any payoff instruction, independent verification must be made prior to disbursement.
