Effective January 14, 2015, documents presented to the Nassau County Clerk for recording and/or filing to be indexed against a Section, Block and Lot must include a Tax Map Verification letter issued by the Nassau County Department of Assessment.
Clarification of the process and implementation of the new local law has yet to be confirmed by the Department of Assessment.
For information, attached please find a Notice recently issued by the Assessor as well as an informational page regarding the new local law found on Assessment’s website at http://www.nassaucountyny.gov/agencies/assessor/. To process a Tax Map Verification letter online, from Assessment’s website go to Property Search and then continue to Tax Map Verification.
