Summary:

Counterfeit cashier's checks bearing the name Jefferson Bank and Trust,Saint Louis, Missouri, are reportedly in circulation.
|
Jefferson Bank and Trust, Eureka, Missouri, has contacted the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) to report that counterfeit cashier's checks bearing the institution's name are in circulation.
The counterfeit items display the routing number 081000566, which is assigned to Jefferson Bank and Trust. The items are similar to authentic checks but display the bank's name, address and a telephone number, not associated with the bank, in the top center.
Authentic checks display the bank's diamond-shaped logo, name and location in the top center. A security feature description is embedded in the lower border.
Copies of a counterfeit item and an authentic check (VOID) are attached for your review. Be aware that the appearance of the counterfeit items can be modified and that additional variations may be presented.

Counterfeit cashier's checks bearing the name Astoria Federal Savings, Lake Success, New York, are reportedly in circulation.

Astoria Federal Savings and Loan Association, New York City, New York, has contacted the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) to report that counterfeit cashier's checks bearing the institution's name are in circulation.
The counterfeit items display the routing number 102000979, which is assigned to JPMorgan Chase Bank. The items are dissimilar to authentic checks and display the words "CASHIER'S CHECK" in the upper-left corner. The savings and loan association's logo and name appear in the top center of the items.
Authentic checks display the words "OFFICIAL CHECK" in the top center. The association's logo, name, " Lake Success , New York , 11042 " and the motto "Putting people first" appear in the upper-left corner. Authentic items are issued by Integrated Payment Systems, Inc., Englewood , Colorado , and are payable through JP Morgan Chase Bank, N.A., Denver , Colorado . Authentic items have ornate borders on both sides and along the top, and a security feature description is printed below the top border.

Counterfeit treasurer's account checks bearing the name Beneficial Savings Bank, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, are reportedly in circulation.

Beneficial Mutual Savings Bank (also known as Beneficial Savings Bank), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, has contacted the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) to report that counterfeit treasurer's account checks bearing the institution's name are in circulation.
The counterfeit items display the routing number 236075689, which is assigned to Beneficial Savings Bank. There are two versions of counterfeit items, which are both similar to authentic checks. One version has no borders. The other version has borders with security feature descriptions embedded in the top border. Most counterfeit items reported have been printed on green paper stock. The appearance of counterfeit items may be modified and additional variations are possible.
Authentic checks are printed on blue paper stock and have borders along the sides and top. "BENEFICIAL SAVINGS BANK" is printed repeatedly in microprint within the borders, and a padlock symbol and security descriptions appear on the lower-right side of authentic checks.
