UCCs covering crops may be filed in a variety of locations in different states: county clerk’s office in county of land; or real property records; or records of Secretary of State; or county clerk’s office in county of debtor’s residence. Consequently, a Policy insuring agricultural land should generally except to crop filings unless the appropriate separate UCC records are reviewed.
Liens or financing statements, if any, affecting crops growing or to be grown on the land. Comment: On agricultural land, except to UCCs for crops unless the appropriate UCC records are examined.
