Explanation:

This Addendum to the 2012 Short Form Residential Loan Policy clarifies the definitions for “State” and “Tribe”.  It also modifies the Choice of Law and Choice of Forum provisions in Condition 16.  Exclusions related to Public Records and the reference of an Insured Mortgage to State law are included in Paragraph 3 of the Endorsement. 

The ALTA Short Form Residential Loan Policy (12-03-12) is issued to a lender making a loan secured by a one-to-four family residential property or condominium.

Underwriting Requirements:

This endorsement requires the approval of a Stewart Title Guaranty Company underwriter.

The underwriting guidelines contained herein have been provided for general reference.
