When the title to be insured covers property that is affected or has passed through litigation, and the time allowed for appeal, motion to vacate, etc., has not expired, it is necessary to raise an appropriate exception relative to such rights and the possible results thereof.

The appeal period for Texas Court Judgments is thirty (30) days. (subject to possible extension of the time to file a notice of appeal of up to 15 days)  See Bankruptcy Underwriting Manual Section 2.04 for additional appeal times.

Any deviation from the above must be specifically approved by Texas Underwriting Counsel.
