Because the fees for "closing" a transaction are included in the premium charge, many facets of the closing process, such as the use of disbursement forms and the maintenance of escrow accounts are regulated by the Texas Department of Insurance.
Although agents are not agents for the purpose of closing function, the company prepares bulletins from time to time regarding closing procedures.
