Guideline Document
V 2

Explanation:

Attached is one form of a Down Date Endorsement. It constitutes a general down date of the policy.

Underwriting Requirements:

Underwriting of extended coverage (e.g., survey matters, mechanic's liens, taxes, and possession) must be evaluated. The prior endorsements also must be reviewed to verify whether additional requirements are necessary (e.g., a zoning certificate, survey, statement of possession). Matters that were previously insured as subordinate in Schedule B, Part II of a Loan Policy must be reviewed to determine whether they remain subordinate.

Any revision to this form requires approval of a Stewart Title Guaranty Company underwriter. The underwriting guidelines contained herein have been provided for general reference. The facts, circumstances, and location of the subject property should be considered when determining the issuance of the requested form or endorsement. Please note that all of the forms and endorsements included in this system may not be available in all states.
