Explanation:

This endorsement insures against divestiture of title to the land because the insured is an alien.

Underwriting Requirements:

(1) This endorsement may not be issued unless approved by a Senior Underwriter.
(2) Considerations in issuing the endorsement include (a) we should provide coverage only for violation of applicable state laws in effect at date of policy; (b) we should consider time limits under state law concerning divestiture within a stated time or any laws relating to reporting requirements; (c) we should consider coverage only against violations of state laws limiting ownership by aliens. Many of the endorsements contain overly broad language relating to forfeiture of title.

Any revision to this form requires approval of a Stewart Title Guaranty Company underwriter. The underwriting guidelines contained herein have been provided for general reference. The facts, circumstances, and location of the subject property should be considered when determining the issuance of the requested form or endorsement. Please note that all of the forms and endorsements included in this system may not be available in all states. Accordingly, please contact the appropriate Stewart Title Guaranty Company underwriting personnel in order to determine availability.
