RE: RATES AND/OR FORMS UPDATE - Wisconsin Rate Manual Revised Schedule of Charges - Effective date July 29, 2024

Dear Associates:

Attached please find the revised Schedule of Charges for Title Insurance in the State of Wisconsin. These changes become effective on July 29, 2024.

Wisconsin Rate Manual (Link to Manual)

The revisions to the Schedule of Charges pertain to, and modify, the following sections of the rate manual:

Section B

1. Add charge for non-residential property Foreclosure Commitment of $1,000.

Sections C. 1 Basic Schedule of Charges for Owner’s and Leasehold Policies and Section D.1

Basic Charges for Loan Policies

Modify one tier of rates. First tier limit was $250K, now $300K.

4. Increase charge for Master and Take-off Policies from $175 to $250 for residential and from $375 to $450 for non-residential.

Section D

2. Increase Fixed Charge for Residential Loan Policies Expedited Search from $450 to $500, Full Search from $525 to $575 and change Liability Amount range from $1 - $350,000 to $1 - $400,000.
3. Increase charges for Residential Purchase Money Mortgage from $450 to $500.
5. Increase charge for Mortgage Modification Policy from $150 to $375.
6. Increase charge for Residential Construction Loan Policy from $675 to $750 and change Liability Amount range from $1 - $675,000 to $1 - $400,000.
7. Increase charge for Refinance of Residential Construction Loan from $250 to $300.

Section E

1. Increase Residential Simultaneous Loan Policy charge from $450 to $500.
2. Increase the Non-Residential Simultaneous Loan Policy charge from $750 to $800.

Section G. Endorsements:

  • Increase charge for ALTA 1 from $125 to $150 for residential and from $300 to $350 for non-residential
  • Increase charge for ALTA 3 from $250 to $275 for residential and from $500 to $550 for non-residential
  • Increase charge for ALTA 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, and 3.4 from $375 to $400 for residential and from $500 to $550 for non-residential
  • Increase charge for ALTA 4 from $300 to $350 for non-residential
  • Increase charge for ALTA 4.1 from $225 to $250 for residential and from $300 to $350 for non-residential
  • Increase charge for ALTA 5 and 5.1 from $300 to $350 for non-residential
  • Increase charge for ALTA 6 and 6.2 from $150 to $175 for residential and from $300 to $350 for non-residential

  • GAP Coverage from $150 to $175 for residential and from $250 to $300 for non-residential
  • Foundation endorsement from $250 to $275 for residential and from $350 to $400 for non-residential
  • Date Down Endorsement – Owners Policy from $750 to $1,000 for non-residential

As a reminder, the most current version of the ALTA form available in each state for issuance with the applicable version of the ALTA Policy should be used, unless approved by a Stewart Title Guaranty Company underwriter.

These rates have been provided to third-party title production system (TPS) vendors. Please contact your TPS vendor or account services representative to have the new/revised rates implemented in your system.
