Dear Associates:

Stewart Title Guaranty Company (“STG” or “Company”) is filing a new amended Schedule of Charges and Forms for Title Insurance in the State of California ("STGC Manual"). This STGC Manual is pending California Department of Insurance approval, and anticipated to become effective on July 17, 2023; please post as required. Attached are the links for your convenience. (Click here to view a copy of the "Redline"  and the "Accepted"  versions).

The changes include some corrections and updates in the table of contents and some minor formatting updates while substantive changes are minimal; these substantive changes are more specifically described as follows:

1. Section 1.25 – Non-Residential Refinance Transactions of $5,000,000 or More – this section is being corrected to reflect that the applicable charge for coverage under this section is $0.55 per thousand.
2. Section 2.20 – Major Transactions – this section is updated to incorporate Trustee’s Sale Guarantees and Litigation Guarantees, and the respective endorsements, as part of this section.
3. Section 3.20 – STG Direct Issuance The Article 9 Comprehensive Plus Policy of Title Insurance – this section is being added to provide the charges for and the issuance by Stewart’s home office of this limited Uniform Commercial Code product that relates to personal rather than real property.
4. Section 3.21 – Stewart Title Absolute Rate (S.T.A.R.) – this section is updated to include applicable charges when the liability exceeds $10,000,000.
5. Section 10 – Endorsements:

a. The CLTA 111.14.3 and CLTA 111.14.13-06 endorsements are now available for standard coverage policies at no additional charge.
b. The CLTA 116, CLTA 116.01-06, CLTA 116.1-06 and CLTA 116.1.2-06 endorsements have reduced charges for certain types of policies and coverages.
