RE: RATES AND/OR FORMS UPDATE - Colorado Rate Filing Approved - Effective February 13, 2023

Dear Associates:

The Colorado Division of Insurance has approved Stewart’s latest rate submission and the new rates are effective February 13, 2023.

A copy of the Revised Colorado Manual of Charges and Forms for Title Insurance is available here.

Please contact PropertyInfo Customer Care or your title production software vendor as soon as possible to have the new rate changes implemented in your systems.

A summary of the changes to the Rate Manual is outlined below.

SUMMARY OF CHANGES TO STEWART TITLE GUARANTY COMPANY

COLORADO RATE MANUAL

  1. Changes in Counties listed in Areas E, G, M, O, and V (Table of Contents)
  2. Increased Basic Charges for all areas EXCEPT Areas H, M, N and S
  3. Increase in Residential Resale Bundled Loan Charges (Page 67)
  4. Junior Loan Charges – modified rate schedule to allow for policies above $250,000 (Page 69)
  5. Home Equity Limited Liability Policy (HEP Policy) – added tier for $300,001 to $500,000 (Page 70)
  6. Added Section B-15 Short Sales – no discount rates apply (Page 77)
  7. Added clarifying language to rounding rules (now rounded up to nearest whole dollar)
  8. Section C-4, Double Sale/Hold Open – charge for holding open an additional 1 year changed from $50 to $100 (Page 79)
  9. Section F- Subdivider/Builder -- Note (2) El Paso County only excluded from County Minimum rate under F-3 (Page 83)
  10. Endorsement Section – Added Newer ALTA Endorsements, language corrections, added charge for Endorsement Colo 130 of $65
