RE: Upcoming Changes to our Agent Authorization Letter Process

As mentioned in Bulletin NY000699, we have made some exciting changes to our Agent Authorization Letter request process. We will be phasing out the NYAgentLetter@stewart.com email group as our standard Authorization Letters can now be created in your Title Production System (TPS) programs. As a reminder, the following TPS programs support this feature:

  • Stewart Connect
  • TrackerPro
  • SnapClose
  • TitleFusion

A new email group, NYSpecialLetters@stewart.com has been created to facilitate with any agent letter requests outside of the standard AAL. Examples of a special authorization letter are as follows:

  • County Clerk Check Guaranty/Indemnity Letters
  • Town/County/Departmental Letters
  • Requests to modify approved language of a standard AAL (requires Underwriter approval)

We encourage our agents to familiarize themselves with the AAL functions within their title production programs. Your Agency Representatives are available to assist with any questions/training on how to use this feature.

In the event you have any questions regarding the above, please contact Stewart Title Legal Department at 212-922-0050 and speak with any Underwriting Counsel.
