Dear Associates:
The American Land Title Association (ALTA) will decertify the following forms on August 1, 2018 (which simply moves them from the active collection to the archive):
- ALTA Commitment Form (6-17-06)
- ALTA Plain Language Commitment Form (6-17-06)
- ALTA Short Form Commitment (10-16-08)
The ALTA Plain Language Commitment (2006) will continue to be available on Virtual Underwriter in the Prior ALTA Forms List and the All ALTA Forms List. It will no longer be available in the Current ALTA Forms List.
The revised versions of the ALTA Commitment and Short Form Commitment are available on Virtual Underwriter, and should still be used; only the prior versions are being decertified.
As a reminder, the most current version of the ALTA form available in each state should be used, unless approved by a Stewart underwriter.
