The Louisiana Department of Insurance has approved a Form filing made by Louisiana Title Statistical Services Organization, Inc. (“LATISSO”) effective August 1, 2018, for the documents referenced below.
ALTA Commitment 06-17-06 - Decertified
The ALTA Commitment 06-17-06 has been decertified by the ALTA. Therefore, LATISSO requested and was granted, approval by the Louisiana Department of Insurance to withdraw the ALTA Commitment 06-17-06 from its form filing effective August 1, 2018.
Although the ALTA Commitment 06/17/06 may be issued until August 1, 2018, we encourage the use of the ALTA Commitment 08-01-16, which was approved for issuance in Louisiana June 1, 2017. As of August 1, 2018, the ALTA Commitment 08-01-16 will be the only commitment available for issuance.
The ALTA Commitment for Title Insurance Adopted 08-01-16 has been assigned the form number LA008UN. It should be noted that a serial number is not required for this Commitment form. Jacket and Schedules that accompany it are posted to www.stewart.com/louisiana in the Forms and Policy Section. Please contact your software support team for assistance with set up.
