UNDERWRITING - Policy Surcharge Termination
Dear Associates:
Pursuant to the attached order dated October 28, 2016, issued by the Office of Insurance Regulation (O.I.R.) you are to cease collecting the $3.28 policy surcharge for transactions closing after December 31, 2016. The assessment was adopted in order to support the receiverships of two failed title insurance underwriters and O.I.R. has determined that the amount necessary to support the receiverships has been collected.
