Before closing a transaction, all issuing offices must search the names of the parties to the transaction, including the seller, buyer/borrower, payoff lender and new lender, using the Special Alerts database.  Go to the Special Alerts database to search for specific names, entities and properties.

Effective immediately, all issuing offices are instructed not to accept any orders or close any transactions involving persons or entities using the following names without the written approval of a Stewart Legal Services representative:

Yang Jun

John Owen

CI Investments, Inc.

Dennis Robert Wooster

Suspicious checks drawn on a purported account of Noranco at Bank of Montreal and on a purported account of IGM Financial Inc. at Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) have been associated with the above names.

If you have any pending transactions involving persons using these names or if you recently closed any transactions involving them, please contact Stewart Legal Services.
