Before closing a transaction, all issuing offices must search the names of the parties to the transaction, including the seller, buyer/borrower, payoff lender and new lender, using the Special Alerts database.  Go to the Special Alerts database to search for specific names, entities and properties.

Stewart has received several recent emails related to leasehold transactions in Brazil. Prospective tenants are advised that Stewart will somehow be involved in the transaction such as by “mediating the documents”.

Please be advised that no Stewart entity is involved with leasehold property management in Brazil.

Effective immediately, all Stewart offices are instructed to contact Stewart Legal Services if contacted about any leasehold transaction in Brazil.
