Sandy's impact on Underwriting
On October 31, 2012, Governor Cuomo signed Executive Order 52 (Attached). This Executive order temporarily suspends statutory time limitations on commencing an action and time to take appeals. This Order has been rescinded effective January 1, 2013.
Please pay special attention to statutory time limitations that expired during the pendency of Executive Order 52 since the time for the expiration will be extended during the effective dates of the order. In the event you have any questions, contact Stewart Title Legal Services for guidance.
