Dear Associates:

Stewart Title Company’s current privacy policy does permit, as allowed by federal law, for it to share a person’s nonpublic personal information with an affiliate for marketing purposes. To date, the only affiliates assessing the nonpublic personal information are Asset Preservation, Inc. (API) and Stewart Specialty Insurance Services (SSIS). Periodically Stewart Title Company’s customers have requested that even this limited sharing be prevented.

To resolve this issue, Information Technology Solutions (ITS) has created a mailbox optout@Stewart.com.

If any Stewart Title Company title agency customer requests not to be contacted by SSIS or API, please email the title agency name and contact information, customer’s name, state where the property is located and GF file number to this mailbox.

SSIS and API will periodically access this mailbox and add the customer’s name to a Do Not Call List. Please let me know if there are other affiliates who need to be contacted if a customer wants to opt out of the sharing nonpublic personal information.

PLEASE NOTE AND BE SURE THAT YOUR CUSTOMERS UNDERSTAND THAT THIS IS ONLY TO OPT OUT FROM BEING CONTACTED BY SSIS OR API.

We hope to have a comprehensive subscription and opt-out procedure within 12 months for other Stewart companies.
