Before closing a transaction, all issuing offices must search the names of the parties to the transaction, including the seller, buyer/borrower, payoff lender and new lender, using the Special Alerts database. Go to the Special Alerts database to search for specific names, entities and properties.

Schoharie County
Montgomery County
Please check with your vendors as to the status of these when ordering a title in the counties above.
If the clerk is not accepting documents for recording, a policy can not be issued until the clerk is accepting documents in their normal course of business.
If the clerk is accepting documents but searches can not be run, add the following exception:
