Dear Associates:
Effective June 8, 2011, the Nebraska Department of Insurance has approved a rate modification for owner’s policies issued by or on behalf of Stewart Title Guaranty Company in transactions involving Nebraska real estate.
The modification involves an increase in the Original Issue rate for owner’s policies as shown on revised Pages 2 and 3 of our underwriting manual, a copy of which is attached. There is also attached a Rate Comparison, for ready review of the impact of this rate increase at various levels of coverage.
Charges for the owner’s policy and the loan policy have been separated. Original loan charges have not been changed.
Agents may continue to apply the pre-June 8, 2011, rates to orders already in process.
