The City of New York has confirmed that the Brooklyn books will be relocated to the Queens City Register office during the week of December 5^th.  Because prepping the books for transportation and unpacking is labor intensive, city personnel will require several days to complete the relocation.

The books will not be available for use during the week of December 5^th through December 9^th.  We are advised that the books will be available in the Queens location on Monday December 12^th, however, temporary delays should be anticipated on the examination orders.

The Brooklyn office will officially relocate to the 6^th floor on December 16^th; on that date the office will be closed to allow the movers to relocate the staff and their equipment.  Submissions can be made to any of the other locations.

In the event you are required to run a search or a continuation during the pendency of this move, you must raise the following exception:

“The Brooklyn Office of the City Register has relocated its books prohibiting a search.  Company cannot search these records and will except from the coverage of the policy any information disclosed by said records.”

Once the records become available and searches can be made, you will be able to update your initial search and remove said objection from your title report.  If a policy has been issued you may endorse your policy removing the objection.
