Underwriting Bulletin NY000448 provided each of you with notice that Section 236 of the New York Domestic Relations Law has been recently amended to limit the ability of both plaintiffs and defendants in matrimonial actions to transfer or encumber their real property.
Attached is a copy of Stewart Title's Multiple Exceptions Affidavit which has been amended to incorporate a statement by all transferors/mortgagors that they are not a party in any matrimonial action brought under Domestic Relations Law Section 236.
