Before closing a transaction, all issuing offices must search the names of the parties to the transaction, including the seller, buyer/borrower, payoff lender and new lender, using the Special Alerts database. Go to the Special Alerts database to search for specific names, entities and properties.

Please be advised that the Clerk of theCounty of Suffolk posted a notice on the computer around 5:00 pm August 24th, 2006. This notice informs us that the County Judgment and Lis Pendens System was not working properly.
They (Suffolk County Clerk's Office) ask that you contact them with all requests, contins and title works that were returned to you on August 24th, 2006 so we may recheck this work. As of this morning the Judgment and Lis Pendens System is down.
