Increase in Recording Fees
Dear Associates:
As part of the recently completed budget process, Sections 8018 and 8021 of the CPLR have been amended. As a result, recording fees will increase in all 62 counties of New York State. Beginning on July 1, 2002, any instrument offered for recording with any County Clerk/Register is subject to an additional fifteen dollars ($15.00) charge earmarked for the newly created Cultural Education Account. Requests for index numbers are also subject to this additional charge.
