Dear Associates:

Due to recent changes in the Nassau County Clerk's Office, recordings are being done much more expeditiously and the backlog is being addressed. Although this is welcome news, it has caused some problems and will require additional work from everyone to get the situation under control. As documents are being processed, some corrections must be made and additional checks may be required to record the documents in order.

If corrections are not made or checks are owed, the process is slowed down and documents may be recorded out of order. It is imperative that all agents, or their representatives, check daily with the clerk's office to see if corrections to documents need to be made, or additional funds are owed in order to keep the process running smoothly and instruments recorded in order.

We have an opportunity to eliminate this monumental recording backlog which was created in Nassau County. All efforts which may be required to cooperate with the clerk's office should be made and all requests complied with so this situation is finally eliminated.
