Dear Associates:
It has been recently brought to our attention that a retroactive lien for Water Charges and Sewer Rents shall be imposed by the City of New York for the period of January 1, 1990 through June 30, 1990. It is our understanding that entries of the liens will be posted in the Collector's Records and adjusted bills are to be mailed during the month of February 1990. Accordingly, the following except ion should be raised and existing commitments modified as follows:
"Policy shall except retroactive imposition of the lien of Water Charges and Sewer Rents for the period of January 1, 1990 to June 30, 1990. Note: Water Charges will be increased by nine percent (9%) and Sewer Rents will be one hundred twelve percent (112%) of the New Water Charge. Please make certain that a current In Rem Card is on file and confirm with the City Collector if you do not receive a bill by February 28, 1990."
