Coming Forward from Prior Policies
Dear Associates:
You have recently received a bulletin from Jim Kletke entitled "Use of Starter Files" in which Jim establishes certain rules with regard to coming forward from a prior policy with different rules as to whether or not we come forward from a Stewart prior policy or from a policy from another underwriter.
The purpose of this bulletin is to restate the substance of a bulletin dated February 6, 1991, from Harold E. Hickman. That bulletin requires, in addition to everything stated in Jim Kletke's recent bulletin, that in any risk exceeding $250,000.00 a full search be done and that a prior policy be used only for information purposed no matter what the source.
