Dear Associates:
A memorandum from the State of Colorado to all who record real estate documents in the various Colorado County Clerk and Recorders Offices advises that as of July 1, 1999 any real estate document or other general recording, recorded in the grantor/grantee records of the County Clerk, will not have the additional $1.00 surcharge added to the normal recording fee. This includes Uniform Commercial Code financing statements, or amendment, naming collateral of fixtures, minerals, accounts on minerals or standing timber, that is recorded in the real estate records of the County Clerk's office. Any Uniform Commercial Code financing statement filed for record in the personal property indexes of the County Clerk will continue to have the $1.00 surcharge added to the filing fee.
