RE: Y2K Issues

Dear Associates:

As you are well aware, certain computer related systems may not function properly when processing date sensitive information after December 31, 1999. The problem is commonly called the "Y2K" bugs.

Many of state insurance departments require that Stewart Title address these Y2K issues with our vendors to be sure that we will not be adversely affected by any inability these vendors have to provide Stewart Title will necessary products and services next year.

In all contracts and leases that you enter into, be sure to address this Y2K issue and get a representation as to the ability of your vendors to service your needs without any disruption for any Y2K issues.

If you have any questions, please contact your National Legal Department (Steven Soffer) or Audit Services (Robert Langer).
